As an EU / EEA resident, do I need a tax representative?

Residents of the EU / EEA are not required to maintain a tax (also referred to as "fiscal") representative in Portugal.

If you are a resident of an EU / EEA country, you can remove your fiscal representative by following these instructions:

1. Log into Portal das Finanças. You will need your password in order to do this.
2. Submit your request by following these instructions.
